Collaborations

We have extensive collaborations with the thoracic surgery group at KI (Professor Anders Franco-Cereceda and Dr Veronica Jackson (PhD student)) and the vascular surgery group at KI (Professor Jesper Swedenborg, Dr Rebecka Hultgren (post-doc), Siw Frebelius (B.Sc.) and Maggie Folkesson (PhD student)). PE is co-coordinator of the newly initiated and EU-financed European collaboration called Fighting Aneurysmal Disease (FAD, http://fighting-aneurysm.org). One major initiative involves constructing European databases and biobanks of aortic aneurysm. Furthermore, the research team is part of the newly initiated national AAA screening consortia in Sweden.
