Molecular mechanisms in ischemic heart disease

Anders Gabrielsen, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist investigating gene expression (RNA) in cardiovascular disease, with a major focus to link clinical patient phenotypes to specific gene expression signatures. In addition, the research activities are directed at developing tools to perform directed analyses of gene expression patterns, related to cardiovascular risk factors and phenotypes including the effects of risk-allele SNPs in vascular and cardiac tissue.
