Research projects
Our research programme centres around three inter-related themes:
What are the immunological processes driving chronic inflammatory disease development? (Link)
We focus on understanding the role of myeloid cells (monocytes, macrophages, microglia and dendritic cells) in inflammatory processes.
Why does autoimmunity develop in the first place? (Link)
We focus on understanding the immunological consequences of post-translational modifications of self-antigens.
How can we treat or cure the diseases? (Link)
We focus on using the body's own myeloid cells as a means of treating the same individual through 'personalised cell therapy.'
