Cell publication gives new understanding of how T and B lymphocytes interact in multiple sclerosis

A study conducted by CMM researcher Faiez al Nimer (shared first author) gives an important new understanding of how T and B lymphocytes interact in the multiple sclerosis disease.

These findings are of great value to determine why treatment with B cell depletion antibodies has such a great effect in MS, although the disease is generally considered to be T-cell mediated.

The study Memory B Cells Activate Brain-Homing, Autoreactive CD4+ T CellsIn Multiple Sclerosis is published in Cell.
