Ljubica Matic awarded Hagberg Prize 2018

Ljubica Perisic Matic from the group Vascular Surgery is awarded the Sven and Ebba-Christina Hagberg Prize 2018. She is awarded the prize for her studies concerning molecular mechanisms of smooth muscle cell function in atherosclerosis.

The Sven and Ebba-Christina Hagberg Prize 2018 includes both a personal prize of 150,000 SEK and a research grant of 275,000 SEK. The prize will be delivered during the Installation Ceremony at Karolinska Institutet in the fall of 2019.

The purpose of the Sven and Ebba-Christina Hagberg Foundation is to stimulate and foster scientific research within the medical and biochemical fields respectively. The award is to support young researchers who have distinguished themselves in their particular field.
