Mesoscale discovery (MSD) platform MESO QuickPlex SQ120 for electrochemiluminescence (ECL) immunoassays

The successor model of the SectorImager2400 (previously available at CMM) is MESO QuickPlex SQ120, which incorporates updated components, is smaller, faster and has otherwise the same performance as the existing instrument. The QuickPlex instrument is the newest multiplexing instrument from MSD, offering affordable access to high performance, electrochemiluminescence (ECL) immunoassays. This compact system has been engineered for reliability, ease of use, and low cost of ownership. The combination of rapid read times and the ability to perform multiple, simultaneous tests on a single sample increases productivity, conserves sample, and delivers results quickly. The QuickPlex has a wide menu of commercially available assay kits and a full line of components and reagents for developing in-house assays.

Examples of kits available:

• Tissue culture kits: quantification of protein in tissue culture supernatant.
• Serum/plasma kits: Serum/plasma kits provide assay-specific components for the quantitative determination of biomarkers in serum and plasma samples.
• Whole cell lysate kits: detection of biomarkers in whole cell lysates.
• Base kits: commonly used for high-throughput screening and assay development. The typical kit components include MSD plates coated with the capture antibody, SULFO-TAG-conjugated detection antibody, and MSD proprietary read buffer.

Costs:
Service costs, including CMM IT costs, will be divided between the users yearly, reflecting the actual current use per group. Plates and reagents have to be purchased by the user.
Training:
Training is required for all first-time users at the cost of 750 SEK. Training does not include supervision in assay setup, assay preparation, or result analysis, and is limited to instructions on how to operate the system and software in order to run the assay and export results. To schedule training contact us directly on the mail addresses above.
