The Center for Molecular Medicine (CMM) is a foundation instituted by the Stockholm County Council (Region Stockholm).

CMM is at the heart of a close partnership with the Karolinska University Hospital and Karolinska Institutet, fueling advancements in biomedical and clinical research.

The strategic location in close vicinity to Sweden’s healthcare system, near clinical and basic science, offers unique opportunities for groundbreaking disease centric research. Our work provides fundamental insights for the understanding of disease biology, facilitating the development of future improved therapies.

The CMM foundation provides a purpose-built research building, established in 1996, and associated cutting-edge research infrastructures. This allows us to support excellent translational medical researchers. Today, CMM is a concept, not merely a physical establishment, providing a nexus for intellectual stimulation and innovation.
