Seahorse Extracellular Flux Analyzer

The Seahorse XF24e Extracellular Flux Analyzer is a unique instrument that simultaneously measures oxygen consumption rate (OCR) and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR) of live cells and tissue in a multi-well plate. This enables high-throughput analysis of key cellular functions such as mitochondrial respiration and glycolysis. The instrument also features an automated addition of nutrients or drugs which allows rapid detection of cellular response in real-time. The apparatus was purchased by Jakob Wikström and is now open for use as a core facility in CMM (costs 10 000kr per experiment including limited consumables, training is 4000kr per person).
